A cuisine where you can found various types of dishes like Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Malaysian. “Mamasan” a well-known restaurant located in Ballygunge Place, Ballygunge walking distance from Ballygunge Phari. a well-decorated, spacious place where you can enjoy lip-smacking food. during my recent visit to the joint, I had tried different kinds of dishes both from the starter and main course.
After went to this place I had a bowl of soup which was good in terms of taste. apart from that, the below dishes are quite good. so without wasting time let’s go and see what are the dishes I had there,
Appetizer: The journey of tasting begins with the traditional & preparation of this place. three items I tried and all of them are the signature ones. my suggestion is to try it as much hot as you can, you can actually enjoy the flavor and the taste.
- Pan-Fried Teriyaki Chicken Momo – butter glazed steamed momos are pan-fried topped with Japanese sweet soy, sprinkled with sesame seeds and crushed peanuts. inside minced chicken meat with herbs. taste wise it was ok.
- Sriracha Chili & Peanut Chicken – crispy fried chicken pieces are cooked with sriracha chili, bell pepper, peanuts, and Asian wine. it’s a very dry kind of preparation soft and tender pieces of chickens are great in taste.
- Indonesian Java Grilled Chicken – pieces of chickens are grilled and sauteed with Indonesian sambal, peanuts, and sesame oil. a semi-dry preparation with gravy sprinkled with crushed peanuts.
Main Course:
- Spicy Sichuan Chicken Rice – a bowl of flavorful rice prepared with dry red chili, assorted pepper, star anise, and wine. served with sprinkled sesame seeds and green leaves.
- Oriental Hakka Noodles – wok-tossed fresh noodles cooked with vegetables and black pepper.
- Korean Chili Chicken – fried pieces of chickens are cooked with herbs, vegetables, different kinds of sauces and served with sprinkled cashew nuts.
- Balinese Sambal Fish – a soft and juicy preparation made with fish along with Balinese chili sambal sauce, bell pepper, and chilies.
After finishing those dishes as a dessert I had Darshan and Ice Cream.
Overall I think for the Asian food lovers this joint is a must-visit. apart from the above dishes try their other dishes whatever you like yo eat. their starters are exceptionally good in terms of taste, it is quite hard to decide what you want to eat and what you want to order next. it is quite hard to decide what you want to eat and what you want to order next.
