Mesmerizing Food at Riysat-e-Hind

A marvelous place that is well-decorated and known for their mouth-watering food. famous for their Chinese, Mughlai and North Indian dishes “Riyasat-e-Hind” is here for all of you to give your taste buds full joy and happiness. this place is located within walking distance from Ballygunge Phari towards Park Circus Seven Point Crossing near Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Ballygunge. the place is quite good and spacious.

I really loved the last dine-in section which is completely glass finished and a garden kind of setup. other sections are a normal indoor seating area.

A food tasting \session arranged by the management of the restaurant where I and my fellow foodies were invited to taste some of the signature dishes of this place. the arrangement was extra-ordinary and the food was excellent. without wasting time let’s give all of you a small glimpse of the dishes we had,

Appetizer: A mixed kind of starters we had but most of them are the signature ones. so before having a heavy meal everyone needs to try out some of the mouth-watering starters they have on the menu. the best part that I like the most is the plating and the decoration of the food. so let’s see what we had,

  • Khao Suey – one of the signature ones and an extremely perfect way of serving with the condiments. this is basically a noodle soup made of egg noodles and curried chicken with coconut milk. as I told served with a variety of condiments like fried onions, chilies, spring onions, crispy noodles, and sliced lemon wedges. before having put all of it in a small portion with a squeeze of lemon which adds tanginess. in a word I can only say it’s marvelous in terms of taste. very thick, creamy and a mild spicy in flavor.

  • American Salt & Pepper Corn – quite a famous preparation made of drying sweet corn kernels. it has a think batter coating and served with chopped coriander leaves, chilies and chef made flavorful spices. the decoration style of serving is quite innovative. coming to taste it was mouth-watering.

  • Chicken Wonton Fry – wontons are quite famous preparation in Chinese cuisine. here I had minced chicken filled deep-fried wontons. it was perfectly fried in oil and combination of inner filling which is a great combination. a spicier version of chili dip served with it. if you love to eat crispy kind of things then this wontons never disappoint your taste buds.

  • Chili Paneer – I am not a fan of paneer but after having my first bite this spicier version of chili panner I simply mesmerized. chunks of paneer pieces are tossed with flavorful spices and sauce along with the chopped onions, cloves of garlic and bell peppers. added extra bit of green chilies and spring onions give an extra touch of flavor.

  • Hot Chili Mustard Fish – soft and juicy fish made preparation with colorful bell-peppers, dried chilies for extra-bit of flavor along with green chilies and spices. tossed so well with the mustard sauce. the intensive flavor of mustard with the chilies you can enjoy from the first bite. extremely good in terms of taste.

  • Chili Basil Mushroom – this is another preparation which I really liked a spicier version of mushrooms made of green chilies, onions and none other than bell-pepper with sprinkled cloves of garlic. perfectly tossed for a time-being with the right the number of spices. the sticky kind of spicy sauce gives an extra bit of flavor to it. a very normal preparation but great in taste.

Main Course: After having those mouth-watering preparations we moved on to the main dishes. we had both veg and non-veg side preparation along with the rice and noodles.

  • Vegetables in Green Pepper Sauce – a bowl of fresh vegetables like carrot, bell pepper, mushroom and other vegetables like asparagus, broccoli, corn which were cooked for a time-being in a greenish colored sauce along with sprinkled pepper. the gravy was thick, in terms very mild of flavor and very tasty.

  • Hunan Chicken – whiteish colored thick and creamy gravy based preparation with the chunks of chickens are cooked with colorful bell pepper, onions, and cloves of garlic. a sweet and sour version of the preparation is quite tasty and served with sprinkled dried chilies.

  • Chicken Butter Garlic Noodles – a different kind of noodle preparation with the flavor of butter and cloves of garlic which was tossed perfectly together with chunks of chickens. not a spicy one but a mild spicier which is great while having it. a completely dry version of the noodles is good to go with any kind of side dish.

  • Chili Garlic Fried Rice – a very normal kind of fried rice, made of chopped carrot, spring onion, and chilies. small pieces of scrambled egg, pieces of chickens are there to accompany the entire preparation. taste wise it was very lite and very tasty which I really enjoyed.

Dessert: After having so many delicious preparations somehow I manage to keep the place for the dessert.

  • Darsan with Strawberry Sauce – a very famous preparation sprinkled with sesame seeds and none other than sticky strawberry sauce. soft and crunchy fried preparations perfectly go with it.

Overall a place worth visiting and spend money to have those lip-smacking dishes. if you’re a great lover of food then you should visit this joint. I am quite sure you’ll not disappoint. both the starters and the main course dishes are perfect. but, my favorite ones are Khao Suey, Hot Chili Mustard Fish, Chili Basil Mushroom, Hunan Chicken, Vegetables in Green Pepper Sauce, Chicken Butter Garlic Noodles. go ahead without any hesitation and enjoy the delicacies of this place. have fun, enjoy food and till then happy eating everyone.
